On Monday, I will be linking up with
The Nester for her annual Christmas Tour of Homes.
Hop on over to her blog to find new and exciting Christmas decorating ideas. Here is what our house looks like decorated for Christmas. My favorite addition to this year's decor is my little girl, Scout!
Let's begin . . . . . . . . . . .This is the dining room tablescape that matches the Christmas tree. It was made by wrapping garland around a gold poinsettia with a big bow tied around it, the angel tree topper and Winter Santa. After I did this, I added some wired ribbon, pearls, peace ornament, and snowballs. I love the way it turned out.
This is the tree that is in our dining room. It is in the window so people can see it from the road. It is decorated with all gold and ivory ornaments with ivory pearl stands and a big gold bow on top.
This is our breakfast table. It just has a Christmas table cloth with two beautiful candle holders that Daniel's mom got me for my birthday a few years ago. I hung three holly ornaments from the light fixture.
I have a collection of nativities. This is the Willow Tree one (my mom got it for me for Christmas), and it is one of my very favorites. Please ignore the laundry basket, bag of socks and Cosmo magazine in the background . . . . . .lol!
These are two very classic Santa and Mrs. Claus decorations. They belonged to my grandmother. I love the way they look with the candle tower in the center. I got the cute reindeer stocking holder as a gift a few years ago from my cousin. You are supposed to put little twigs in the two holes on top for antlers. I need to find the perfect twigs.
Here are a few more nativities. One was a wedding gift, one came from my grandmother, others I have just found here and there. I can't wait to add the Little People nativity that Scout is getting for Christmas to this collection.
I can't remember where I got these, but I think they are soooooo cute! They are little candle holder and if you look carefully, you can see the S-A-N-T-A. When the candles are lit, and the lights are out, it looks really neat!
This sort of our Charlie Brown tree for the year. I purchased this last year at the Dollar General to put in my classroom. This year, I wanted a special tree where Santa could leave Scout's gifts. I figured this would work. Well, it is really pitiful. It is not very full and the beautiful Christopher Radko ornaments I have collected over the years just take over and look kind of silly. They are too big. I am definitely looking for a new tree to put in this spot for next year.
This is the Nutcracker-filled mantle. I wanted to get Scout a nutcracker stocking, but I bought the stockings several years ago and now I can't find any with nutcrackers that are not priced unreasonably. I think I might just go to Wal-Mart and get three plain stocking and have them embroidered. Also, I really want to have ones that say Momma, Daddy and Scout instead of Holly, Daniel and Scout.
This might be my favorite Christmas decoration in our house, and I made it all by myself. I added the ribbon, bows, holly, and ornaments to a piece of lighted garland. I love the way it looks going up the staircase.
Santa came to make an appearance at our house to take some pictures. Do you see him peeking through the window. My niece Makayla and Scout were surprised to see him!
This is the tree that matches Scout's room. Daniel's mom saw these at Wal-Mart and told me about it. I decided to get Scout one for her room. It is decorated with pink and white balls, little white Christmas candies, and little white stockings. It has a few glittered Merry, Christmas and Joy ornaments on it too! The snowflake on top finishes it off.
And here is the new addition to our Christmas decor, our sweet little Scout! She loves her pink tree in her room.
