First, most of the votes went to Harlow with 38. I really love this bedding, but I kind of have my heart set on only black and white. I feel like I can do so much more with accents if I go pure black and white. This also makes choosing the wall color so much easier. If I go with Harlow, I will have to wait until it gets here to match the paint. I would kind of like to get on with painting and if I choose black and white only then I can do that. The second highest vote getter was Toile with 22. Now again, I really love this bedding, but one might fall over dead if they knew how expensive it is going to be with all the cute accessories that you can get with it. Daniel gave me a little wisdom on this - He said, "She is just going to poop and throw up on it so get what is cheapest." Well, I never really thought about it that way! He is so practical. So, that leaves either Taylor (14 votes) or Versailles (17 votes). Both are very reasonably priced and have reasonably priced accessories. Both would be easy to add to and dress up with cute ribbons and bows. I am thinking kind of like the picture below . . . .so cute with pink!
Both would be easy to pick a wall color too - For example, I love the green pictured with the Taylor bedding, and I love the soft pink pictured above. I would also love to have silhouettes made of me and Scout and Daniel and Scout (Check out this great website - Silhouette Pictures) when she arrives, and I think they would look so classic with either one of these choices. Finally, both are available at Babies R Us, so I could actually go and see them before I purchase. I think this is a big plus! I would really like to know that I am going to like it before I buy it.
After a few days of pondering over the big decision . . . . Ladies and Gentlemen . . . . . .I think we have a winner . . . . .
Toile? . . . . No!
Ok . . . after all that, I must tell you why I think we should go with Versailles. First of all, it is the most reasonable and second, the Versailles bedding is pictured on the same kind of crib we purchased for Baby Scout. Do you think this is a sign? Someone else obviously thought that bedding looked good with that crib, and I do too!
I am still open for ideas for a new survey . . . .leave me a comment or shoot me an e-mail if you have any suggestions.
