This weekend has been very exciting around the Wiggs's house. First, Baby Scout has spent some of her time looking out the window. She enjoys seeing the birds, sunshine, grass, and baby rabbits.
Baby Scout has also spent some of her time sleeping in frog pose on daddy's shoulder. Do we have a future yoga girl?
Look at Scout sucking her thumb . . . . . . she has sucked it on and off from inside the womb. This is the first time we actually caught her really sucking it and continuing to suck it so we could get a picture. She found it right after she projectile vomited on mommy (gross, I know!).
And since she projectile vomited, had not been eating like herself, was restless and uncomfortable, and was running a low-grade fever, we decided we should take a little trip.
Yes, at 11:30, we decided it was better to be safe than sorry, so we headed for our first visit to the Emergency Room. Luckily (probably thanks to Bonnaroo), there were only us and one other person so we didn't have to wait long. We had a really nice nurse who was very sweet to our little girl. He even let us take some pictures as he checked her out.
Unfortunately, the doctor didn't seem like the picture-taking type, so we don't have any pictures of her being examined by him. But, he did determine that she has thrush which was causing her to not eat and be upset. He gave us some medicine that is absolutely gross. We have to give it to her four times a day for the next ten days. I will have to try to take a video of her taking it; I am sure it would be hilarious to watch!
We did have some sweet visitors on Sunday. When Brandy, Catherine and Cooper brought Makayla back to our house, they also visited with Baby Scout for a few minutes. Cooper even read "Five Silly Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" to Scout. Is he another future boyfriend?
She liked "Five Silly Monkeys" so much that Makayla decided to read it to her some more. Can you here her saying, "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed"?
After such an exciting weekend, this is how Scout feels!
