Baby Scout, today you are seven weeks old. You now wear size 1 diapers and size 0 - 3 months onesies. You are now wearing mostly 0 - 3 months clothes and occasionally 3 months clothes. Your new favorite thing is sleep in your swing and play on your play mats. You will lay in the floor on your mats for a very long time and look and play with the toys. You are still doing a pretty good job sleeping at night and are starting to sleep during the day a little bit more. At night, you will sleep from about 9 - 5:30 and only get up to eat one time around two. During the day, your might nap two or three times for an hour or so. You are really starting to become responsive to anyone who talks to you. You say, "I Good!" on a regular basis and make all kinds of other noises. Your tummy seems to be better, but you spit up a little sometimes and sometimes you let it go! You are constantly active which makes it hard for me to get your picture. Your hands and feet look like blurs in so many of the pictures I take of you! For the first time today, you found your thumb and really sucked it for a long time (like seven or eight minutes). When you took it out, you were like, "What happened?" You got a very special present for your seventh week birthday. Your Janny and Granpappy got you the sweetest rattle. You like holding it because it is small enough for you to get your hands around the handle.
Baby Scout, We love you so much! You are our world now! We can't wait to see what amazing things you do this week!
We are blessed . . . .We have a wonderful relationship, a sweet dog named Chipper, great jobs (I stay home and Daniel teaches 6th), a fabulous church, and the best friends ever!!! On May 20,2010, we welcomed our first daughter, Elizabeth Scout, and we are totally in love. I will be staying home with her this year! Besides loving on Scout, most of our time is spent at sports venues since Daniel is a basketball, baseball and golf coach and plays softball. This keeps us busy! I enjoy spending my time running, cycling, and weight lifting. Once a month, I meet with my fun book club. Daniel enjoys coaching and playing golf. I love to travel, eat out, and watch reality T.V.
