Today, Baby Scout, you are three weeks old!
Sleeping Patterns: Baby Scout, your sleeping patterns have changed this week. You like to sleep about forty-five minutes to two hours at a time during the day and two hours at a time at night. Mommy and daddy wish you would go back to those longer spreads of time. We think some of this change comes from your having an upset tummy, but you also are really liking to eat more often now despite the tummy ache. Your Rock and Play is your favorite place to sleep.
What You Like To Do: Baby Scout, you love to look around. Today, we got out a new toy (your golfer) and you loved the sounds he made, so you played with him for a while. You enjoy your tummy time each day. Your getting very strong with your neck. You are loving to eat more and more. I think you might be having a growth spurt.
New Things You Have Done this Week: Baby Scout, you are really starting to notice sounds now and will turn toward them. You love the crinkle sound some of your books make, and the noises of some of your other toys. You also have developed a little laugh this week. You don't do it often, but it is so cute when you make that sweet sound. You have decided you really like to eat this week. You are eating more often than before. I think you are a growing girl. You are really lifting your head high during tummy time now. You have also found your hair. In fact, one time you were pulling it so hard it made you mad. Most of the time you rub it, and you will calm yourself down.
Eating Patterns: Baby Scout, you eat ten to twelve times a day. You nurse every hour and a half to two hours for about twenty minutes. Mommy loves this time with you! At the doctor on Monday, you weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces! I think all this eating is paying off.
Dislikes: Baby Scout, you hate being cold. This includes having your diaper changed, bath time, and changing clothes. You don't mind having a poopy diaper. We tried to lay you in your Pack and Play, and you hated it. I don't think you like being flat. We also tried the swing another time with no success.
Diaper Size: Scout, you wear a Newborn size diaper.
Clothes Size: Scout, you wear Newborn size clothes. Your newborn onesies are starting to be a little snug. I don't think it will be long until those don't fit anymore. Your newborn pajamas and clothes still fit fine or are a little big.
Eye Color: Scout, right now, your eyes are blue.
