This Week

This week has been a very exciting week at the Wiggs's house. Scout and I have been practicing going places by ourselves because Daddy has to go back to work next week : ( Here are some pictures of places we have visited.

On Tuesday, Scout and I traveled to the beauty shop. We met Ms. Trina. I know Trina will be cutting Scout's hair soon because it is getting so long. Just kidding!

We also ventured to Wal-Mart. Scout did a great job. I think she liked looking at all the colors. I was amazed, because Scout sat in the car seat the entire time at the beauty shop and Wal-Mart. Normally, she hates the car seat. Maybe she is learning to adjust to being in it!

Tuesday night we decided to take a walk. I tried putting the car seat in the stroller instead of putting Scout in the stroller. I thought Scout might enjoy sitting where I could talk and sing to her while we walked. She did! Again, I was amazed.

On Wednesday, we visited Clark Memorial. We went to see my teacher friends who were busy preparing for the new school year. Unfortunately, I left my memory stick for the camera at home and didn't think to use my camera's internal memory, so I don't have any pictures of Scout's first time to school : (

Wednesday night, we rode down to Janny and Granpappy's house to visit. Scout loves to smile and laugh at Granpappy. He seems to always be able to get her to talk and smile.

This morning, Scout got up and ready for her playdate with Chaz and Adelyn.

Chaz and Adelyn's moms all brought something to put in a salad, so we had a nice lunch.

Chaz was a sleepy boy and decided to take a nap on the couch. Can you find him? You might be able to see his feet and a little of his head. He was all cuddled up with my "Jane" (This is what we call my nursing cover).

Daniel got home just in time to take our picture before everyone left.

Tomorrow we go to see the doctor for a check-up and our first shots. I am dreading it so much. I know it will be harder on me and Daniel than it will be for Scout. Wish us luck!

Our Sunday

We had another first this past Sunday . . . . . our first time in "big church". Of course, we began our Sunday by attending Sunday School. Scout did a good job during the lesson. She was awake for a little part of it and asleep for a little part of it. After Sunday School was over, I fed her, and we decided to try "Big Church". We sat next to our friends Ray and Shannon, the parents of Scout's friend Adelyn. So, there were two babies on the same pew! Both babies were fantastic. Scout just let out a little scream at the end of church as if she were saying, "Amen". Otherwise, she was happy the entire time sitting on daddy's lap and even sleeping for a little bit. After Sunday School, we went to eat with Ray, Shannon, Sara, and Adelyn. We had to wait for a few minutes to get a table at the restaurant, and there was only outside waiting. Since it was 100 degrees, the two daddies waited in the cars with the babies. So sweet! After lunch, we rode down to Janny's and Granpappy's house to visit for a while. Scout was in a good mood and played for a long time. She was smiling, talking and laughing. We spent the rest of the day at home. Scout took a good long nap while I had a nap too!

Dinner Dates

Scout has been so lucky to have a couple of dinner dates over the last couple of weeks.

Last weekend, we met our sweet friends at Scallywags. This was the first time they were able to meet Scout. They were so sweet to surprise us with the cutest Baby Gap outfit. I can't wait until she is able to wear it, and I know it won't be long. Overall, Scout did pretty well at dinner. Just a little fussing after she woke up.

Thursday night, we met David, Michelle, Annie, Lake and Joelle at another restaurant on the square, John T's. If you live in our area and have not eaten there, you should try it. It is very good! Scout made it an exciting evening for mom and dad by hurling in the car while we were driving to the restaurant. So, we had to clean her up and change her in the van. I am so glad the carseat cover is washable. Ha! Overall, Scout did pretty well! She did get a little fussy after a few minutes, because she wanted to eat. After I fed her, she was fine! I think Annie enjoyed seeing her the most!

Sunday School Outing

Last night, our Sunday School class loaded up to head to the Nashville Sounds game. We met up at the church at 5:00 and made the 1 1/2 hour drive to Greer Stadium. We were excited to have five families from our class and one new couple make the trip! We missed those who weren't able to make it! Here are a few pictures from our night.

Celebrating Two Months

Today, Baby Scout, you are two months old.

Sleeping Patterns: Baby Scout, your sleeping patterns are pretty consistent at night but not during the day. You usually like to sleep about one hour at a time during the day and from 11 - 5ish at night. Last night, you sleep from 10:30 p.m. - 5: 30 a.m. Woohoo! I hope we can start working on a day schedule to get you napping better. You are in a better mood when you nap. You are still sleeping in the bedroom with us in your "Rock and Play". You don't like to lay in your crib or pack and play. Daddy likes to rock you to sleep at night, and he is so good at getting you to bed. You don't like it when Mommy rocks you!

What You Like To Do: Baby Scout, you love to go outside. You just look around and see many things. You like to lay on your playmats and play. You also have started to really like your swing. You will swing for fun and then to take a nap. This is the only place you will nap right now. You love to talk and be read to. Your favorite is nursery rhymes. Mommy and Daddy also sing to you. You like "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Apples and Bananas".

New Things You Have Done this Month: Baby Scout, you have done so many new things this month. You lift your head very head and turn it from side to side all the time. You really kick when you are on your back and tummy. You want to move! You have really started to laugh and talk this month. You say "I good" and make other vowel sounds. You have had your first playdate. You had a playdate today with Adelyn, Emmie, and Chaz.

Eating Patterns:
Baby Scout, you eat 7 to 8 times a day. You nurse every hour and a half to two hours for about twenty minutes. Mommy loves this time with you, but it wears her out! You also spit up just about after every meal. We went to see the doctor about this two times. He says you will outgrow it when you start eating solid food. I hope so!

Dislikes: Baby Scout, you like many things now that you did not like last month. You still don't like your bouncy seat. You also don't like riding in the car. Mommy and Daddy don't take you too many places because you get upset.

Diaper Size: Scout, you wear a Size 2 diaper.

Clothes Size: Scout, you wear size 0 - 3 months clothes, your pajamas are size 0 - 3 months, but your onesies are size 3 - 6 months.

Eye Color: Scout, right now, your eyes are a green color.

Scout,
You are two months old!
You are a special girl!
We love you!
